How do payments work?
Stripe Connect. Your client pays you directly. FileCheckout never touches or holds your money.
What file types are supported?
Anything. ZIP, MP4, PDF, PSD, AI, you name it. We generate previews for images, videos, and PDFs automatically.
How is this different from Gumroad or Etsy?
Gumroad and Etsy are marketplaces. They sell products to strangers. FileCheckout is for 1-to-1 client deliveries. You already have the client, you already did the work. You just need a secure way to get paid before handing over the files.
Can I use this for recurring clients?
Yes. Create a new delivery link each time. Each link is its own transaction with its own files, amount, and expiry date. No subscriptions or complicated setups.
What happens after the storage window expires?
The download link stops working and files are automatically deleted. Free plan: 7 days. Pay-as-you-go: 15 days. Pro: 30 days. Make sure your client downloads promptly.
Is the preview watermark removable?
No. The watermark is baked directly into the preview image. It's not a CSS overlay someone can inspect-element away. Clients see a protected preview before payment and get the clean originals after.
